How far in advance should I contact you for my initial consultation?
For weddings we typically say 6-8 months in advance is sufficient. Of course you can come in earlier (or later!) if you are prepared with other aspects of your wedding planning. Meaning you should have a basic idea on a theme or look you want for your wedding and if having a wedding party you should also have what they are wearing decided as well. If your wedding is during peak wedding season (May-June and September-October) or over a holiday weekend (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day) booking earlier is recommended to ensure your date is not taken. To ensure all our weddings get our undivided attention we tend to not book more than one full-serve wedding on a single calendar day.
Are there any dates you can't do weddings?
Yes, because we are not an events-only exclusive florist this means we become incredibly busy during the big flower holidays. To ensure your needs and our other customers needs are not neglected during these times we cannot do weddings during the weeks of Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.
Do you have a price minimum for weddings?
Nope! We are accustomed to doing weddings of all sizes, from a simple bouquet and boutonniere for an elopement to full bridal party, ceremony and reception. Keep in mind our average full-serve weddings (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, ceremony flowers, and reception centerpieces) on average costs around $3,000.
Do you rent out or offer chuppahs, arbors, or other event decor items?
Due to also being a retail florist we have to keep a large constant stock of vases, baskets, and specialty forms so we have minimal space for longer term storage. At this time we only have a 7 foot by 7 foot simple birch log arbor available for rent for events. But we are more than happy to install florals on other provided pieces from the client or venue. We are also happy to setup and stage provided decors items like candles, votives, table numbers, and accessories for a small fee.
Do we need to return glassware (vases) after our event?
Nope! All vases are yours to keep and use as you see fit after your event so guests are more then welcome to take centerpieces and other arrangements home with them if you wish!
Are there any additional set up or delivery fees?
We do not expect anyone to have to set up their own wedding flowers so that is already factored into the arrangement prices. Delivery fee is calculated by mileage to destination(s) at the rate of $1.75 per mile.
Do you offer strike services?
At this time we only offer strike services (aka clean up after the event is over!) on events that reach a $3,500 total or more. Strike fees start at $150 per event plus 10% of the cost of florals we need to breakdown/clean up or a flat $300 if the cost meets or goes above that threshold.
Can I order flowers loose/in bulk to make my own arrangements?
Yes! This is a great option for the more adventurous and artistic bunch. We will work with you to order the appropriate amount of flowers and greens for your vision, order, and properly process and clean the flowers and greenery for you to pick up and arrange yourself.
